Looking back on 2008-2009: tours and special projects

Posted on June 10th, 2013

In October 2008, Le Moulin à Musique was invited to perform its latest creation Garde-robe in France at the Francophonies du Limousin festival and the Espace 93 Victor-Hugo space. We are opening doors on the old continent and other invitations might stem from them in the near future!

In January 2009, Un Violon sur l’épaule(Violin on a string) traveled to 8 villages and towns in the Lower North Shore between La Romaine and Blanc-Sablon. The performers were thrilled to carry out this cultural mission in remote communities of Québec.

The Au fil des saisons cultural mediation project gave 200 children in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie boroughs the opportunity to create visual, sound and literary works during a series of workshops with Eugenia Reznik (pictorial creation), Marie-Hélène da Silva (musical creation) and Joël da Silva (literary creation). A fine example of the company’s dedication to educating young audiences through the arts… while having fun!

To top it all, let’s not forget the growing popularity of Madame Violon raconte presented in libraries and day cares, mainly in Montreal but also in several Québec regions.

The Moulin team!
